Formula 1® and Bell Media’s TSN and RDS announce multi-year media rights extension for Canada

Formula 1 has today announced that it has extended its long-standing partnership with Canadian sports broadcasters TSN and RDS through to the end of the 2024 season.

TSN and RDS will continue to broadcast English and French language coverage of all Formula 1 races, as well as qualifying and practice sessions including coverage of the Formula 1 Grand Prix Du Canada 2020, the most-watched motorsport event on Canadian soil.

The deal means that fans across Canada will enjoy another five years of dedicated Formula 1 coverage with subscribers having access to a multitude of F1 live feeds available at once through the networks’ digital platforms and through the TSN and RDS apps. These all-new feeds include, select onboard cameras, a pit lane channel, driver tracker and a timing channel.

TSN and RDS have delivered Formula 1 coverage in Canada since 1992 and 1994, respectively and have continued to provide a high quality services to customers. The 2019 season was the most-watched F1 season ever on TSN with audiences across TSN and RDS growing 21% compared to 2018, and F1 coverage across the two networks reaching nearly 5.3 million Canadian viewers.
