Formula 1 and FanVision to launch F1 Vision for all fans at the tracks

Formula 1© is delighted to announce the partnership with FanVision Entertainment to create F1 Vision, the most immersive spectator technology available to Formula 1 fans. With F1 Vision, Grand Prix attendees can dive deeper into the event experience with a state-of-the-art handheld device.

F1 Vision combines the Formula 1 race live broadcast and replay highlights, direct audio feeds allowing the user to listen to live driver and team communications, and the Grand Prix radio broadcast.  F1 Vision also taps directly into the Formula 1 timing system, providing fans with real-time race data and statistics.

F1 Vision marks FanVision Entertainment’s return to Formula 1 after last appearing during the 2012 season. FanVision Entertainment has delivered its proprietary handheld technology to NASCAR fans across the United States since 2006, and to NHRA Championship Drag Racing venues since 2017.

The F1 Vision device is a compact and powerful handheld controller, featuring a 5-inch high-resolution touchscreen display, rugged exterior, kickstand for hands-free viewing, and includes earbuds for listening comfort.

F1 Vision’s content is delivered via FanVision Entertainment’s dedicated digital transmitters, meaning the devices aren’t dependent upon venue WiFi. This technology ensures a consistently high-quality interaction with the F1 Vision device from any grandstand location at the Grand Prix.

Albert Goma, Formula 1 Digital New Business Manager, said:

“FanVision’s return to Formula 1 will absolutely enhance the at-event engagement level for fans of our sport. Through the partnership with FanVision, Formula 1 fans will experience real-time technologies like in-car cameras and unrestricted team communications from their Grand Prix vantage points.”

Andrew Daines, FanVision CEO, said:

“We are thrilled to be back in Formula 1 and to have such a collaborative partnership structure. The new suite of products we’ll bring to the series will leverage team communications in ways never before seen in Formula 1.  It’s an incredibly exciting time to be involved in the pinnacle of motorsport.”
