About Champagne Carbon

Descended from the fifth generation of Champagne winegrowers, Alexandre Mea is the founder of Champagne Carbon. Even though his personal story is closely linked to the ‘tradition champenoise’, Alexandre decides to break the rules by creating a unique packaging with a strong identity, far away from the conventions and stereotypes of the region. After many years of research, the first bottle of Champagne Carbon finally comes to life, in 2013.

Alexandre grew up in Champillon, in the heart of the Vallée de la Marne. Fifth generation Champagne makers, his family has owned and been growing vines for the last 200 years. This heritage has naturally led Alexandre to create his own Maison and Champagne Carbon. The Vineyard is mainly planted with Chardonnay: the real backbone of the Carbon style.

Perfectionist and avant-garde, Alexandre has managed to link futurist technology, using handmade carbon fibre bottles, with traditional savoir-faire. This outstanding packaging does not make us forget the champagne that lies inside the bottles, as Alexandre has zero compromise on it: a wine combining finesse and character, coming from the best soils the Champagne terroir can offer.
