Hosted at the renowned IFEMA MADRID, the first-of-its-kind Exhibition boasts a wide range of unseen artefacts and exclusive contributions from the sport’s most legendary teams and personalities. Highlights already publicly announced include the remains of Romain Grosjean’s car from his dramatic 2020 crash in Bahrain in the ‘Survival’ room, Pierre Gasly’s ‘Monza Miracle’ maiden race-winning car from the same year and the first ever public display of a Scuderia Ferrari power unit.
Delivered across six purpose-built rooms, each specially designed in collaboration with award-winning curators, artists and filmmakers, the much-anticipated show provides a stunning adventure through the extraordinary world of Formula 1.
Visitors start their journey passing through ‘Once Upon A Time In Formula 1®’, made up of previously-unseen photographs that transport fans through the sport’s most iconic and defining moments. The experience continues through the ‘Design Lab’ where fans are taken inside an F1 factory to explore the modern-day design, testing and manufacturing process – with exclusive insight into the cutting-edge technology used by Pirelli, Exhibition Sponsor and Global Tyre Partner of the sport, and an exclusive insight into the journey of an F1 tyre.
‘Drivers and Duels’ offers a race circuit inspired design and celebrates the most iconic drivers and legendary races since Formula 1 began, before ‘Revolution By Design’ presents the dazzling breakthrough innovations in the sport and explores the new technologies that lie ahead. The show then reaches its climax in ‘The Pit Wall’ – a show-stopping cinematic and immersive experience that allows fans to relive the greatest moments in Formula 1 history like never before.
Produced in partnership with Round Room Live and delving far beyond what fans have ever seen before, the show uses bold, technology-led design features and large-scale interactive displays to lift the lid on the past, present, and future of Formula 1.
Several years in the making, the exhibition combines spectacular audio-visual design, rare film and imagery, engineering and educational displays, sculptural pieces and iconic Grand Prix cars to deliver an unforgettable experience for everyone – from avid followers to younger fans and families.
The Formula 1® Exhibition is open at IFEMA Madrid from March 24 and will run for several months. Tickets are available from €19.99 and can be purchased here.

“I am delighted to be here in Madrid to officially open this spectacular Exhibition. I am particularly excited that our passionate Spanish fans will have the opportunity to first experience this breathtaking show. I am grateful to everyone who has helped capture the heart and soul of the sport we all love in this Exhibition. It celebrates Formula 1’s history in such innovative and engaging ways – I know our fans around the world will love it!”
Timothy Harvey, Lead Curator and Producer of Formula 1® Exhibition said:
“I am so pleased this day is finally here. The concept for this Exhibition was first discussed in 2017, so it’s been a long – but incredible – journey. To map out the history of the sport I love has been one of the biggest honours of my life. Building something like this is a huge undertaking and I would like to thank everyone who has worked so hard and contributed their time to make it the incredible show it is today. I hope people enjoy experiencing it as much as we have enjoyed creating it.”
